" I wrote A Thousand Flying Fish at 15 years old, and published at 16. It was important to me that I shared more than just what it was like on a boat in the middle of the ocean, but also my thoughts and feelings. As well as what it's like to be a teenager with Tourettes syndrome. It can fee like you're too different and not in a good way. It was important to me because maybe someone else will conect with my story, and all the feelings and thoughts I have. Maybe it'll help someone feel not so alone.
